birthdays

I'm doing a book, cd etc for DH for his birthday. Im stoney brokey so it's like a little filler. Tried so many websites looking for love quotes etc and they're all the same!! Is nothing original anymore? Things still aren't great but we're taking a few days off from talking about problems to give ourselves a bit of a break. Its too hard fighting all the time. Takes sooooo much energy!!!!

  4. Your idea sounds nice. I think we all struggle relationship-wise at times and IF does not help matters one bit. When I find that my DP and I are having problems, I make a point to say 3 kind/ supportive/complimentary things a day and avoid criticism for 1 week. At the end of the week, if I am over my rough feelings, I release them. If I am not "over" the feelings, I talk them through with my love. I hope you guys are able to re-connect fully soon.

  7. Sounds great to me. I always want to do that sort of thing, but find my creativity coming up short. I hope it turns out beautifully.

    Happy ICLW!

  9. I think we are all a bit broke right now. ;) Sorry you guys are going through a rough patch now, but taking a break from baby talk can be refreshing for both of you.

  10. My votes on the scrapbook... I use thinkexist.com for my quotes... they have a million great quotes. Even love ones. A great resource... check it out.
I open every one of my posts with a quote that fits the subject... so they have a ton of random stuff for all my random thoughts!

  13. Fighting is definitely exhausting. Guys are suckers for homemade gifts. They make some great small photo albums (like 10 pages) where you could paste in a photo on each page and do a quote underneath each one. That might be an option. Hang in there! *ICLW*

  15. I always think that homemade gifts (while a bit more stressful) are the ones that are most cherished. I hope that things get easier for you soon.

  17. I think homemade gifts are the very best.

I'm sorry you and your DH are at such different places in your desire for a family. Hope you can reach a mutually agreeable solution.
